We were approached by HVT (High Volume Transport – Applied Research) to overhaul their extensive online research library to improve SEO and in-site search functionality. The new system has been fully categorised and tagged to allow researchers to find the document they need in a matter of seconds.
This included the creation of a custom PDF parser, to automatically process a huge number of documents to make the text within them accessible and searchable. The search functionality and sensitivity can be controlled by HVT in the back-end of the website, to improve search relevance and provide the best experience for their users on an ongoing basis.
It was also important that HVT were able to track document downloads, further engage their users at the point of interaction and keep page load times to a minimum for researchers working in developing countries.
