It's rare that we work with such hands-on clients in terms of design, but at the award-winning Bollington Brewing Company their Director is a dab hand with Adobe software and was happy to receive a set of guidelines which cover everything from colours to the right language to use when advertising.

To get them started with their advertising we wrote a set of press ads to set the tone of the new brand. They wanted it to feel witty, intelligent but also charming and rustic. In order to help with this we also worked with them to develop a suite of illustrations for key areas of the business and their products.

point of sale

When devising the new brand we wanted to create easily recognisable identities for each product which could be featured on the pump clips, packaging and advertising. For this purpose we created a full colour palette and a set of illustrations from telescopes to cricket bats.

uniforms

You can find waiters and waitresses the length and breadth of the country wearing black polo shirts with white logos. True, they hide a multitude of cooking stains, but we thought they could be working harder for the brewery. We found a way of uniforming the staff whilst cross-selling the brewery's products. They are also available to buy if you're a fan of a particular beer (or pigeons).
